Vent-Axia Ltd., the United Kingdom’s largest manufacturer of ventilation equipment, faced highly seasonal and variable demand across many product lines and was struggling with low service levels and unbalanced inventory using spreadsheet-based forecasts. To improve forecast accuracy and efficiency for more than 500,000 installations a year, Vent-Axia selected Demand Solutions and its Demand Solutions Forecast Management (DS FM) product.

Demand Solutions implemented DS FM to centralize and automate baseline forecasting, integrate with Vent-Axia’s Dataflow ERP, and enable planners to validate and add market knowledge before upload. As a result, Vent-Axia now forecasts 3,000 items in under a minute, manages seven times more items with the same staff, cut inventories by 20% over 18 months, raised customer service from ~85% to over 98%, and paid off the software and implementation costs several times in the first year.
