Pioneering DSX In Tunisia MPBS Builds On Early Success

MPBS (Manufacture de Panneaux Bois du Sud) is a Sfax, Tunisia–based wood panels manufacturer with about 30,000 SKUs that struggled to manage rapidly evolving product variants using spreadsheets and Sage X3. The company faced uneven stocks, frequent stock-outs, late shipments and high holding costs, and chose Demand Solutions’ DSX planning software to address its forecasting and requirements planning challenges.

Demand Solutions (implemented locally with partner INBUPS) delivered a six‑month DSX deployment in 2016 focused on Forecast Management and Requirements Planning, making MPBS the first DSX user in Tunisia. With Demand Solutions DSX, MPBS cut inventory by 10% (≈1 million dinars) while sales grew 7% (from DT34M to DT36.4M), increased inventory turns from 4–5 to 6 per year, and gained more accurate supplier orders and demand-driven production.
