Parmalat SA Pty entered the South African market with two acquisitions and inherited 14 legacy systems, including the Demand Solutions suite for demand planning and replenishment. The company faced "absolute chaos" in its data — more than 10,500 product codes, overlapping numbering between Towerkop and Bonnita, fragmented forecasting and no synchronized planning across factories and distribution agents.

Demand Solutions worked with Parmalat to reset and implement DS FM, DS RP and DS Feedback, while Parmalat consolidated SKUs (from ~10,500 down to about 450), trained staff at six factories and 21 distribution agents, and aligned category and agent inputs into the system. As a result, Parmalat achieved about 89% forecast accuracy, moved to weekly DS RP planning with better stock and production visibility, and set the stage to integrate Demand Solutions with BPCS for near real‑time planning.
