Ratas AS, a Tallinn‑based manufacturer of stainless steel pipefittings and part of The Nords International Group, struggled with low delivery reliability because production planning was done in an ERP plus Microsoft Excel and largely in managers’ heads. Facing reliability rates around 55–65% and the risk of losing customers, Ratas evaluated advanced planning and scheduling options and selected Demand Solutions and its Demand Solutions APS product to provide more sophisticated, connected production planning.

Demand Solutions implemented Demand Solutions APS, integrated with Ratas AS’s ERP and DbXtra reporting tool, and supported the rollout with consulting. The APS gave planners real‑time, detailed schedules and sync capability with machine‑level data, improving decision making and shop‑floor coordination; as a result Ratas reached 80% reliability by October of the go‑live year, 89.4% by year‑end, and now routinely operates above 97% delivery reliability, restoring customer trust.
