Mizuno Corporation, a leading sporting‑goods supplier with roughly 25,000 SKUs (including a $50M golf business), was struggling to scale forecasting and S&OP as double‑digit growth exposed heavy reliance on manual Excel/Access processes. A long‑time Demand Solutions customer (previously using DS1), Mizuno needed to improve planning efficiency, remove multiple “versions of the truth,” and reduce labor‑intensive month‑end and replenishment work.

Mizuno implemented Demand Solutions DSX—including Forecast Management, Requirements Planning and the DSX S&OP 3.3 module—going live in September 2013 to create one source of truth and automate planning. Demand Solutions centralized daily supply‑plan refreshes, cut the core planning cycle from three days to an automated daily process, reduced month‑end processing from 1.5 days to six hours, enabled forecasting down to style/color/size, and freed planners to focus on higher‑value work, improving accuracy and visibility across S&OP.
