A Demand Solutions Case Study
D&W Fine Pack, a North American manufacturer serving foodservice, national restaurant accounts and grocery customers from 13 facilities, faced fragmented business systems after growth by acquisition and needed to centralize forecasting, reduce inventory and improve service responsiveness. To support fast turnover, better staffing and predictable fulfillment during demand spikes (seasonal events, school calendars, sports), D&W Fine Pack selected Demand Solutions’ Forecast Management and Requirements Planning as a company-wide standard.
Demand Solutions was implemented across multiple plants (initial go-live in six facilities) with IT and supply chain teams working closely with Demand Solutions’ client services, and rollout typically took one to two weeks for Forecast Management and several weeks for Requirements Planning configuration. As a result, D&W Fine Pack moved from backward-looking planning to reliable, 12‑month forecasts, reduced forecasting time from 10 days to 3 days, restored inventory levels for seasonal demand, improved customer service and achieved lower overall inventory and less expediting of freight.
