A Demand Driven Technologies Case Study
Straumann, a global leader in dental implants manufacturing and distribution, faced rapidly growing SKU complexity, expanding global demand, and increasingly difficult supply chain flows in a highly regulated environment. Despite raising inventory levels, the company struggled to maintain service levels and saw its existing forecast-driven planning approach reaching its limits.
Straumann selected Demand Driven Technologies’ Replenishment+® and first deployed it at its French Anthogyr factory before expanding to the main plant in Switzerland as part of a broader demand-driven transformation. Using DDMRP concepts such as buffer positioning, sizing, demand signal filtering, and improved planning and execution, Demand Driven Technologies helped Straumann rebalance and reduce inventories, shorten finished goods replenishment lead time, stabilize the production schedule, and align manufacturing and distribution priorities.
