Michelin - Customer Case Study

Michelin, the global leader in vehicle tire manufacturing, needed to improve its original equipment (OE) supply chain while keeping inventories at controlled minimums and responding to volatile customer demand. The company wanted to maintain perfect service levels to avoid delaying customer production lines, and it selected Demand Driven Technologies’ Replenishment+ to help address these challenges.

Demand Driven Technologies implemented Demand Driven MRP (DDMRP) concepts through Replenishment+ at Michelin’s Valladolid, Spain factory, including buffer positioning, sizing, demand signal filtering, and improved planning and execution. The pilot delivered immediate results: Michelin reduced inventory, stabilized the production schedule, improved flow management and customer responsiveness, and was able to anticipate service disruptions earlier. After the successful pilot, the solution was rolled out globally with plans to expand to more than 70 facilities worldwide.
