A Demand Driven Technologies Case Study
Indaux, the Spanish leader in furniture fittings manufacturing with operations in more than 70 countries, was struggling with supply chain inefficiencies across five subsidiaries and four production facilities. With more than 25,000 SKUs, a 24-hour delivery promise, thousands of WIP orders, inconsistent planning methods, a complex 7-level BoM, and international buy-sell sourcing, the company needed a better way to align planning and replenishment.
Demand Driven Technologies implemented Replenishment+ at Indaux, applying DDMRP concepts such as buffer positioning and sizing and demand signal filtering to synchronize supply with actual demand. The result was a corporate-wide standard planning approach, improved visibility, significantly fewer expedites, and a 10% reduction in purchased parts inventory, while also reducing planning time and expediting from China.
