A Demand Driven Technologies Case Study

Frulact - Customer Case Study

Frulact, a Portugal-based supplier of fruit and plant-based value-added ingredients, struggled with demand forecasting and replenishment across its global operations, especially because many raw materials such as fresh fruit are available only in limited quantities and for short periods. After earlier attempts with custom MRP engines and SAP failed to solve the problem, the company turned to Demand Driven Technologies and its Demand Driven MRP approach, including Replenishment+.

Demand Driven Technologies implemented Replenishment+ side by side with SAP, allowing Frulact to test the system without disrupting operations and choose which recommendations to follow. The solution is now deployed across six of Frulact’s eight plants and has driven a 2M Euro reduction in raw material inventory, along with a 1.5M Euro increase in working capital.
