Research Triangle Institute discovers time-saving results on the web

Research Triangle Institute (RTI), a multidisciplinary research organization with about 1,800 employees, faced an inadequate timekeeping system that failed to support its scale, government-contracting requirements and integration with Deltek Costpoint. Executives sought a robust, SQL Server–based timesheet solution that could handle thousands of biweekly entries and improve project number validation and reporting accuracy.

RTI implemented Deltek Time Collection in a phased rollout from May to August, working with Deltek consultants to train users and resolve setup issues. The result: over 1,800 employees and 30,000 active tasks are now processed online, manual data entry was eliminated, timesheet accuracy and reporting improved, the project finished under budget with reduced consulting needs, and integrated systems now provide stronger data integrity and audit trails.
