Improved, Consistent Schedule Quality with the Help of Deltek Acumen Fuse

Ameren Transmission (ATX), formed in 2007 as part of Ameren, manages thousands of miles of high‑voltage transmission lines and experienced rapid capital growth that increased scrutiny from its Corporate Oversight Committee. Using Primavera P6, the Project Controls Team lacked a robust way to measure schedule health and needed a solution to ensure consistent, high‑quality schedules across a large volume of projects.

The team evaluated and adopted Deltek Acumen Fuse—initially piloting KPMG’s settings—and made running Fuse a requirement before schedule baselines. The tool enabled quick identification and correction of errors, elimination of redundant links, reduction of SS/FF links and lags, and customizable metrics; as a result, ATX now produces more consistent, higher‑quality schedules and has restored the Oversight Committee’s confidence.
