Case Study: Deltares achieves full integration of projects and finance with Deltek Maconomy

Collaboration between four parties enables successful ERP implementation

Deltares, formed by a merger that created an organization of more than 900 users, needed a new ERP to integrate project management and financial processes. Project manager Ron van Leeuwen led the selection and implementation amid complex stakeholder needs, and Deltares engaged external expertise to ensure a structured, well-governed rollout.

Deltares partnered with PricewaterhouseCoopers for quality assurance and project management, Maconomy for the ERP software, and Be Ready for Change for communication and e‑learning. The Maconomy solution was implemented within a year, delivered clean integration between projects and finance, trained nearly 900 users with web-based courses, met business KPIs and improved oversight—while a few refinements (notably procurement functionality) are being addressed in follow-up phases.
