The City of Arvada, a Denver suburb with a popular Performing Arts Center and a population of about 109,000, faced unusually diverse hiring needs—from custodians to stage directors to engineers. A growing volume of openings and a paper-based applicant process left them losing resumes, lacking visibility into time-to-fill and hire quality, and unable to scale recruiting efforts efficiently.

Arvada implemented Deltek Talent Acquisition, configuring workflows for external, internal and volunteer applicants and working closely with Deltek’s implementation team. The solution centralized candidate tracking (100% of resumes are now accounted for), improved recruiter–hiring manager communication, enabled proactive sourcing, boosted productivity and dramatically reduced time-to-fill; the city now plans to expand into Deltek Talent Compensation and Development.
