eHarmony Enhances Customer Experience With Delphix

Los Angeles-based eHarmony, a leading online dating platform, needed to accelerate releases and improve quality for its key Singles and Matching applications. The QA process was slowed by labor-intensive database refreshes that required DBAs and infrastructure teams, produced stale test data, caused development freezes during upgrades, and struggled to keep up with growing Oracle databases of 30–70 TB.

eHarmony implemented Delphix’s self-service data management so development and QA teams could provision, refresh and rollback environments on demand without DBA involvement—now completing refreshes in about an hour. The change enabled faster, higher-quality releases, eliminated data-related defects, and delivered major savings: more than 5,000 person-hours (~$3M) over three years and up to 80% reduction in storage for database copies.
