Boeing Employees’ Credit Union (BECU), a $17B financial institution serving over 1 million members, needed to accelerate online-banking enhancements while protecting sensitive member data. The IT team’s challenge was to build an agile testing infrastructure that could discover and consistently mask sensitive values across heterogeneous databases and more than 100 flat files, preserve referential integrity, provide out‑of‑the‑box masking templates, and support reporting and auditability.

BECU chose the Delphix DevOps Data Platform to discover, mask, virtualize and replicate production data to AWS, enabling rapid, consistent masking across Oracle, SQL Server and flat files without custom coding. Delphix helped BECU mask 662 tables, 3,507 columns and 680 million rows in 15 hours, complete implementation in six weeks (vs. an estimated 18–24 weeks for competitors), establish a masking Center of Excellence, and use data virtualization to deliver masked environments to developers in minutes—supporting up to twice‑faster product delivery while meeting compliance ahead of schedule.
