Sea-lect Plastics Corporation Automating All Facets Of Injectionmolded Part Production With Solidworks And Delmiaworks Solutions

SEA-LECT Plastics Corporation, a Pacific Northwest injection-molding supplier founded in 1987, faced the challenge of automating all facets of its injection-molding production—estimating, quoting, sales, order processing, planning and scheduling, tooling and DFM, production, inventory, procurement and delivery—to increase efficiency, improve quality, and accurately track job costs as the business scaled.

The company added the DELMIAWORKS ERP system integrated with its existing SOLIDWORKS/CAMWorks implementation to automate design-to-manufacturing processes. As a result, operational efficiency rose from 70% to 98.5%, reject rates fell to under 1% (about one-third of the industry standard), profit margins improved, on-time delivery became consistent, and SEA-LECT achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, gaining better costing accuracy and a stronger competitive position.
