Miniature Precision Components, Inc. Shifts into Real Time with IQMS

Miniature Precision Components (MPC), founded in 1972, is a tier-one supplier to major automotive manufacturers known for strict quality standards. MPC’s heavily customized midrange ERP had become difficult and costly to update, left the company operating on delayed, siloed information (weekly batch scheduling) and offered no real-time visibility into machine, inventory, or production performance.

MPC replaced the legacy system with IQMS EnterpriseIQ and RealTime Production Monitoring on a single Oracle-backed database, moving from batch to real-time operations. The unified solution delivered immediate shop-floor visibility, centralized data, better inventory control, faster internal communication, reduced software maintenance and labor/production costs, and has been deployed across five plants and eight production groups—enabling tighter operational discipline and a stronger competitive position.
