Jabil Packaging Solutions Leverages IQMS to Stay on Top of Plant Floor Operations

Jabil Packaging Solutions (JPS), a precision-molded plastics supplier for healthcare and packaging markets and part of Jabil after the Nypro acquisition, needed to preserve real-time shop-floor control when migrating core enterprise systems to SAP. While SAP served as the ERP, it lacked machine-level connectivity and real-time cycle and uptime data, and JPS also wanted to retain IQMS’s preventative maintenance capabilities to track machine and mold cycles and maintenance work orders.

JPS kept IQMS MES and its maintenance module and integrated them with SAP using I-docs and IQ Alert so orders flow directly to machine displays in real time. The integrated setup delivers live cycle times, up/down status, OEEs, utilizations and deviation reports, enabling faster reaction to downtime, streamlined scheduling and maintenance, reduced manual analysis, and reliable SAP verifications—benefits users report immediately even without a formal ROI calculation.
