Eldon James Increase Quality and on-time Delivery With Integrated Mes

Eldon James, a Denver-based manufacturer of PVC-free plastic tubing and connectors for medical, pharmaceutical, beverage, automotive and industrial customers, was being held back by siloed, slow systems. Disconnected accounting (QuickBooks), CRM and shop-floor tools made quoting, quality audits, inventory control and production planning time-consuming, drove scrap rates as high as 30%, and limited the company’s ability to scale internationally or meet growing demand.

They implemented IQMS (now DELMIAWORKS), a plastics-specific ERP/MES on a single database that integrated accounting, CRM, finance, manufacturing, operations and quality. The result: on-time deliveries rose from 50% to 98% (a 96% improvement), rejects fell from 30% to 2%, lights-out runs were achieved across 27 injection molding machines, quoting time shrank to about 3 minutes, and the company now offers 6,000+ products in roughly 40 countries with stronger auditability and scalable growth.
