Case Study: DPS Skis achieves real-time inventory control and saves up to 5 hours a day on accounting with DELMIAworks

A DELMIAworks Case Study

Preview of the DPS Skis Case Study

As Sales Gather Momentum, DPS Skis Shifts from QuickBooks to IQMS ERP

DPS Skis, a Salt Lake City-based designer and manufacturer of high-performance carbon-fiber skis founded in 2005, experienced rapid growth and increasing complexity that outgrew its QuickBooks-based systems. Persistent inventory and order-entry problems, compounded when a planned Sellpad integration was discontinued, left DPS vulnerable during seasonal peaks and prompted a search for a more robust ERP solution.

DPS implemented IQMS ERP during a slow season, consolidating accounting, order entry and inventory into a single system. The change delivered real-time inventory, an “allocate and make-to-order” workflow so sales can reserve stock by location, and eliminated manual integrations—saving up to five hours a day in accounting. Operations ran smoothly through a major sales event, fulfillment errors were reduced, and DPS is now pursuing advanced reporting and barcode scanning to extend those gains.
