Case Study: Amy's Kitchen achieves sustainable, efficient global supply chain planning with DELMIA Quintiq

A DELMIA Quintiq Case Study

Preview of the Amy's Kitchen Case Study

ustainable supply chain planning for food production on a global level

Amy’s Kitchen is a family-owned, pioneering organic food manufacturer producing over 1 million meals a day across 250+ products in 30 countries. Its commitment to fresh, high‑quality ingredients and reliance on contracted growers created extreme supply‑chain complexity — hundreds of suppliers, thousands of SKUs and dozens of processes — while planning on Excel led to slow, error-prone cycles (monthly plans could take up to six weeks) and poor responsiveness to weather and crop disruptions.

DELMIA Quintiq implemented a phased, end-to-end planning platform — from Scheduling & MRP and Labor Scheduling to Macro and Distribution planning — replacing spreadsheets with optimized scheduling and inventory balancing. The solution improved visibility and response times, reduced costs and inventory (achieving the same service levels with two weeks less inventory), optimized labor and freight, and strengthened Amy’s ability to adapt to disruptions; further rollout phases and a full handover of planning responsibilities are underway.
