Nonprofit Secures Shared Accounts with Centrally Controlled Password Management

JOY 94.9 is an independent community radio station in Melbourne with about 216,000 listeners and over 200 volunteers. Because few paid staff support frequent volunteer handovers, password, license key and sensitive-data access had become haphazard; the station needed a flexible, centrally controlled repository with auditing, broad account compatibility and minimal ongoing support.

JOY deployed Thycotic Secret Server, which was easy to test in a virtual environment and move to production. Using secret templates, role-based access and folder organization, the station centralized credentials and documents, integrated with Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager, strengthened its security posture, reduced time spent recovering credentials, and is now expanding the system to cover volunteer personnel records and contracts.
