Dynatrace Streamlines Mass Migration to the Cloud with Centrify Identity Service

Dynatrace, a provider of a leading Digital Performance Platform, spun out in 2014 and faced the urgent task of onboarding 2,000 employees with a cloud‑first approach. With a lean IT team, the company wanted to avoid the cost, complexity and maintenance of AD FS servers for Office 365 federation while ensuring secure single sign‑on across desktop and mobile and preparing for enterprise mobility management (EMM).

Dynatrace chose Centrify Identity Service to federate Office 365 and deliver SSO/EMM capabilities, removing the need for high‑availability AD FS infrastructure. With Centrify and professional services they migrated 2,000 users in three months (roughly half the time compared to AD FS), rolled out SSO to eight additional apps (including Salesforce and NetSuite) and used self‑service password features to rapidly onboard acquired employees—accelerating deployments and improving user access.
