GSI, an Atlanta-based Oracle JD Edwards and Oracle Cloud consulting firm founded in 2004, faced a growing challenge connecting consultants to a wide variety of client networks. Different firewalls, VPNs, browser requirements and dozens of credentials per client forced reliance on virtual machines, created frequent connectivity help-desk tickets, and raised security and logging concerns.
GSI implemented Centrify Identity‑Centric PAM to centralize credential management, provide browser-based remote access via a client-hosted Gateway Connector (no open firewall ports), and enforce MFA and detailed audit logging. Deployment reduced setup time to 60–90 minutes, enabled consultants to switch between multiple clients and accounts quickly, dramatically cut help‑desk cases, eliminated VPN/VM complexity, and improved overall security and productivity—so much so that Centrify use is now required for new clients.
