UK Government (HMT and the Cabinet Office) gathers 100,000+ ideas with Delib

The UK Government, specifically HM Treasury and the Cabinet Office, faced the challenge of generating ideas to reduce public spending waste and address the budget deficit. They partnered with vendor Delib, using their Dialogue platform, to solicit suggestions from both public sector workers and citizens.

Delib's solution successfully gathered over 100,000 ideas. These were reviewed and categorized, with the top-rated ideas being assessed by government departments. As a direct result of this initiative, 25 ideas were implemented into government policy, including one measure estimated to raise an extra £7 billion in tax revenue by 2014. Delib enabled the government to harness public insight to deliver significant efficiencies.
