The City of Edinburgh Council faced the challenge of needing to save £67 million while continuing to provide essential services. Delib's Budget Simulator required participants to achieve a set level of savings, which led to high-quality, considered responses by forcing citizens to make informed trade-offs. The solution from Delib was tremendously successful; the council saw a 500% increase in the number of participants compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the average respondent age dropped by a decade, providing the council with the more representative feedback they sought.
