South East Water garners nearly 4,000 responses with Delib

South East Water, a metropolitan water retailer in Melbourne, faced the challenge of increasing public understanding and engagement around its draft Water and Sewerage Price Plan for 2018-2023. To combat consumer frustration with water bills and communicate costing decisions more effectively, they sought a new consultation approach and partnered with vendor Delib to use their Utility Bill Simulator.

Delib's Simulator provided a unique, convenient, and cost-effective tool for public consultation. South East Water implemented a multi-channel communications strategy to promote it, resulting in nearly 4,000 responses. This exceeded the contributions of all other engagement phases combined and provided a wealth of meaningful data. Over 90% of Simulator respondents provided detailed feedback, demonstrating the solution's success for both the utility and its customers.
