The Scottish Climate Assembly, a citizen's assembly, sought to broaden participation in its discussions on tackling the climate emergency. The challenge was to effectively engage the wider Scottish population, allowing them to contribute ideas and feel invested in the Assembly's outcomes. They utilized the Dialogue platform from the vendor Delib to facilitate this process.

Delib's solution enabled the public to submit suggestions on topics for the Assembly to address, propose expert speakers, and share ideas on reaching net-zero targets. This gave a voice to a much larger group, including individuals who had been invited to the Assembly but were not ultimately selected. As a result, Delib helped the Assembly ensure its proceedings were informed by and inclusive of the general population it was serving.
