Nottinghamshire County Council publishes 1000+ TROs with Delib

Nottinghamshire County Council faced the challenge of running a lengthy and bureaucratic Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) process. This required advertising in local press and on physical street notices, followed by a 21-day objection window. The methods used were not compatible with modern life and created a disconnect for citizens who wished to respond. The council partnered with vendor Delib to use its Citizen Space platform to modernize this process.

Delib's solution involved using Citizen Space to create a public, searchable online repository for all TROs. This increased the visibility of orders beyond physical notices and made it quick and easy for residents to find those affecting them via postcode search. The results provided greater visibility and accountability, creating a permanent record of TROs and making it easier for citizens to stay informed and access the necessary contact details to object.
