A Delib Case Study
The London Borough of Redbridge Council faced the challenge of engaging residents on the complex and urgent issue of setting a carbon budget. They needed a method that could illustrate the difficult trade-offs involved in climate action without overwhelming the public with information, which was a difficult task for a standard survey.
The council used Delib's Simulator to address this. The tool allowed residents to allocate a limited number of points across six different categories, such as transport and waste, to visually set budget priorities. This approach generated uniquely informed insights for the council on public priorities and helped residents understand the complexity of the decisions involved. Delib's solution successfully fostered greater public understanding while providing the council with valuable feedback to guide its climate action strategy.
