A Delib Case Study
Edinburgh Council faced the challenge of launching a meaningful consultation on women's safety in public places. They needed to gather essential data and real-life experiences from hundreds of residents to inform decision-making, ensuring it was not a one-off exercise but the start of a wider initiative. The council also needed to reach diverse communities across the city, making accessibility a key consideration for their project.
Delib provided its Citizen Space platform, which was used to run a multi-phase consultation. The solution included Citizen Space Geospatial to allow respondents to drop pins on a map, providing crucial location-specific insight. This approach, alongside a survey available in multiple languages, gathered views from over 2,100 people. The follow-up phase demonstrated the council's commitment to action, boosting legitimacy and encouraging future public engagement.
