The customer, a major reinsurance company, faced a challenge with an Enercon E82 wind turbine that was experiencing intermittent shutdowns. The turbine's automatic reset system masked the recurring "Feeding fault" alarm, creating a false sense of normality and risking a complete lockout. The vendor, Delfos Energy, used its data intelligence platform to investigate this dangerous intermittent behavior.

Delfos Energy implemented a solution using its platform to perform a multivariable correlation analysis. This identified that rises in ambient temperature were causing the turbine's power cabinets to overheat, which in turn triggered the specific inverter fault. This precise diagnosis allowed for a planned intervention to replace the faulty inverter board. The results were a total energy loss containment of less than 0.5 MWh, the prevention of severe component fatigue, and the avoidance of a prolonged downtime event.
