Valmet, a global supplier of process technology and automation for the pulp, paper, and energy industries, faced significant challenges in production planning. Their complex manufacturing operations, with lead times ranging from days to years, required a highly flexible and configurable planning solution to manage capacity and improve agility.

To meet this challenge, Valmet implemented Delfoi Planner. The solution provided a visual, easy-to-use platform for capacity-constrained planning and was integrated with Valmet's ERP system. Delfoi's software enabled real-time progress tracking and a clear view of workloads. The implementation, now used in over 50 production units worldwide, delivered concrete results for Valmet, including a reduction in work-in-progress inventory (from €2M to €400k at best) and a major improvement in on-time delivery rates (from 20-40% to over 90%).
