How La Lorraine Bakery Group Uses Iot To Grow Sales

La Lorraine Bakery Group, a family-owned Belgian bakery company, wanted to better match bread supply with demand after empty shelves led to missed sales and frustrated customers. Working with delaware BeLux, the company looked for an IoT-based way to capture when and where bread was sold so it could improve sales planning and reduce food waste.

delaware BeLux helped La Lorraine Bakery Group equip in-store bread slicers with IoT devices that track vibrations and send sales data to an analytics environment, supporting a prediction model for demand patterns. The pilot expanded from 3 to 20 stores, with plans for national and international rollout, and the initiative is intended to help LLBG increase sales by at least 5% while cutting waste and improving ordering decisions.
