Global mineral firm Lhoist launches Office 365 and ShareBox

Lhoist, a global industrial minerals company operating in around 120 locations worldwide, wanted to improve digital collaboration and knowledge sharing across a scattered workplace landscape. Working with delaware BeLux, the company set out to migrate 40 to 50 TB of data to the cloud and build a new intranet foundation using Office 365, SharePoint Online, and ShareBox.

delaware BeLux implemented Lhoist’s Connect intranet on SharePoint Modern, added ShareBox for governed collaboration spaces, and supported migration of legacy knowledge bases from SAP Portal and Lotus Notes. The result was a more structured and future-proof digital workplace, with around 1,200 ShareBox spaces replacing legacy on-premise file systems, easier access to information from any device, and faster service delivery through Power Apps, Flow, and Power BI.
