From BI to insights to predictive and prescriptive analysis data is the holy grail at TNT

TNT, the global logistics giant, wanted to renew its business insight capabilities and move from traditional BI toward predictive and prescriptive analysis. Working with delaware BeLux, the company set out to improve customer insights, pricing, product profitability, transfer pricing, cost management, and traffic lane profitability through a fresh, greenfield approach.

delaware BeLux helped TNT rethink the journey from activity-based costing to advanced analytics, cost-to-serve, pricing, and transfer pricing, using a structured, well-governed data preparation methodology for the business analytics environment. The project showed that data quality had a direct and measurable effect on unit costs: TNT ran profitability analysis with both high-quality and poor-quality datasets and found huge differences, demonstrating the tangible value of data quality while delivering the project on time and on budget.
