Atlas Copco, the Swedish industrial machinery company, wanted to improve the efficiency of its global service organization as it expanded digitalization and IoT across its connected equipment. Working with delaware BeLux, it looked for a smarter way to distribute service orders, support technicians in the field, and speed up maintenance and repair work on customer sites.

delaware BeLux helped Atlas Copco build a smart maintenance approach using tools such as SAP Asset Manager, FieldAnywhere, and Microsoft HoloLens 2 with Remote Assist integration. Technicians now receive maintenance plans, tool and spare-parts information, and step-by-step guidance on their devices, while remote experts can join via mixed reality and annotate what they see. The result is faster, more efficient service and less dependence on in-person expert visits, with the covid-19 pandemic further accelerating adoption of the solution.
