Changing needs, new technologies: Joris Ide opts for PaaS

Joris Ide, a Belgian multinational steel building and insulation manufacturer, needed to support pan-European use of some applications, avoid new hardware investment, and prepare for newer automation technologies. To address these needs, the company worked with delaware BeLux and SAP to expand beyond its existing SAP ERP environment into a cloud platform.

delaware BeLux helped Joris Ide build a hybrid setup that kept SAP ECC core ERP on-premise while deploying new customized applications in the cloud using SAP PaaS. The new platform automated logistics tasks such as load registration, documentation, quoting, and self-service data entry, improving efficiency, enabling mobile access, and providing higher security, automatic backups, upgrades, and maintenance.
