Global TV, part of Global Television Canada, needed a reliable way to transmit live coverage of the Royal Wedding from a crowded location near Windsor Castle, where cellular networks were heavily congested and space for equipment was limited. The broadcaster required a flexible fly-away solution that would fit its existing video over IP workflow and keep live feeds stable during a major event.

Dejero implemented its CellSat blended connectivity solution, combining multiple cellular carriers with satellite bandwidth to keep the signal reliable and high quality. The result was up to 7.5 Mb/s of bandwidth when cellular capacity was scarce, enabling Global TV to deliver seven hours of live on-location coverage, support additional live reports, and reach millions of viewers across broadcast, online, and social channels.
