Yukon Transportation manages 4,820 km of roads with Deighton Associates

The Yukon Transportation Division faced challenges with its outdated in-house pavement management system (PMS). The system, which relied on Oracle tables and an MSAccess interface, required significant updates and dedicated programming. It lacked future enhancement opportunities and forced the team to perform critical analyses externally using spreadsheets.

Deighton Associates implemented its dTIMS solution to replace the legacy system. The new dTIMS PMS provided a robust platform, enabling Yukon Transportation to efficiently retrieve inventory and condition data, visualize spatial information, and perform advanced asset management functions to optimize rehabilitation and maintenance strategies. As a result, the division gained a powerful tool to evaluate options against varying constraints and plans to expand its use into a full asset management system (AMS) by adding more assets.
