Georgia Department of Transportation manages 17,940 centerline miles with Deighton Associates

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) faced the challenge of integrating the management of its pavement markings, including striping and raised pavement markers, into its existing asset management system. To address this, they partnered with vendor Deighton Associates to leverage the flexibility of the dTIMS platform, collaborating with Arcadis to implement a solution for these ancillary assets.

Deighton configured the dTIMS software to handle the new assets through database, life-cycle cost analysis, and operations management components. This solution enabled GDOT to plan and program statewide pavement marking work based on material life-cycles. The result was a streamlined process where work orders are generated from the plan and tracked to completion, allowing GDOT to manage these assets in a systematic, programmatic fashion.
