Connecticut Department of Transportation improves bridge modeling for 4,254 bridges with Deighton Associates

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) sought to enhance its dTIMS bridge management system implementation to create more accurate deterioration models and improve analysis results. To address this challenge, they partnered with their longtime vendor, Deighton Associates.

Deighton Associates executed a five-phase solution that automated data loading, enhanced deterioration models, configured national performance measures, refined treatments and costs, and automated reporting. The project resulted in the successful development of new performance and prediction models for CTDOT's network of over 4,000 bridges, along with corresponding reports to effectively summarize analysis results and treatment expenditures.
