The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) required a bridge management system (BMS) that could integrate with its existing pavement management system (PMS) to enable a more holistic asset management approach. ARDOT needed to incorporate its bridge inventory and condition data from InspectTech into a strategic-level tool from vendor Deighton Associates to assist with long-term resource allocation and funding decisions.

Deighton Associates implemented its dTIMS BA solution to create a bridge management system for ARDOT. The solution analyzed the state's network of bridges to generate recommendations for preservation, rehabilitation, and replacement strategies. The vendor successfully integrated the existing InspectTech inspection data, which is updated regularly, providing ARDOT with a unified and strategic tool for managing its infrastructure assets.
