Oklahoma Baptist University and DegreeSight Collaborate to Grow New-Student Enrollment

Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) aimed to grow its undergraduate enrollment but faced a challenge with its traditional, manual process for transcript evaluations. This slow, labor-intensive system created a backlog and failed to effectively reach new prospective students. To automate and improve this process, OBU partnered with DegreeSight and implemented its Transfer Credit Calculator (TraCC) product.

DegreeSight's solution provided a branded online tool that gave prospective students instant credit transfer estimates, while its "White Glove Support" feature allowed staff to process evaluations more efficiently. The implementation yielded significant results: 139 prospects used the tool in under six months, with 41 being entirely new leads for the enrollment funnel. DegreeSight's TraCC also automated workflows, identified 344 course equivalencies, and ultimately helped OBU process twice as many evaluation requests, saving the university both time and money.
