Corban University, a private liberal arts university, faced a challenge in processing transfer students from 32 Oregon community colleges that use a quarter-credit system, as its own TES platform could not automatically convert these credits to its semester-based system. This required manual and time-consuming recalculations for each incoming student. DegreeSight was engaged to address this issue with its equivalency management solution.

DegreeSight collaborated with the university to import and transform its data, creating a customized Equivalency Management System (EMS). This system automated the conversion process by applying a 2/3 multiplier to quarter-credits, modifying over 8000 rules to ensure accuracy. The solution saved significant time and effort, and within the first month, Corban University received 14 new prospect inquiries through the new automated tool.
