Southeastern boosts safety awareness by 9% with Definition

The customer, a rail company called Southeastern, faced the challenge of empowering its 4,500 employees to build a more proactive safety culture. They partnered with the vendor Definition to create an internal safety campaign.

Definition developed the "ALERT" campaign, which used an animated character named Alert Bert to deliver the serious message in a fun and engaging way. The solution included videos, handbooks, and cut-outs that toured the network. As a result, Definition helped Southeastern achieve a 9% increase in employees feeling strongly about reporting unsafe situations and being more prepared to set a good safety example. The campaign was so successful that it is being rolled out to safety signage across the engineering division.
