Twin peaks implements predictive ordering to save millions

Avalanche Food Group, a Houston-based franchisee for Twin Peaks, was looking for ways to improve product quality, strengthen operational consistency across locations, and reduce waste, labor, and ordering time. To address these challenges, Avalanche Food Group worked with Decision Logic and expanded its use of the company’s cloud-based restaurant management platform.

Decision Logic implemented Predictive Ordering, Production Prep Sheet, and Mobile Application Tools to help managers order more accurately, prep the right quantities, and capture inventory data on mobile devices. The results included about $2,000 less food ordered per month per store, more than $1,000 less produce waste per month per store, and a 40% reduction in tomato prep; ordering time dropped from 45-55 minutes to 20-30 minutes, contributing to an estimated $35,000 in savings across five locations in just two months.
