Westpac, one of Australia’s leading financial services providers, needed to strengthen its learning culture by upskilling managerial, banking and front-line staff while supporting career progression, engagement and retention. To help meet this challenge, Westpac partnered with DeakinCo. to develop nationally recognised training pathways, including the Best Banker National Qualification Program and Tier 2 accreditation online training.

DeakinCo. implemented a national education solution by mapping and aligning Westpac’s development programs to competency units, providing credentialed assessors and coaches, building online learning content and workplace observation checklists, and managing enrolment, support, and certification. The result was a more seamless pathway to recognised qualifications, better alignment between training and business goals, and improved access to government funding opportunities, helping Westpac boost staff recognition and readiness for future growth.
