A DeakinCo. Case Study
Transport Accident Commission (TAC) needed to manage a major corporate upheaval: relocating its headquarters from Melbourne to Geelong, consolidating 19 business systems into one, and onboarding a wave of new staff while keeping operations running smoothly. With only a small portion of employees expected to move and its existing recruitment, induction, and training approach described as segmented and ad hoc, TAC turned to DeakinCo. for help with a more strategic learning and capability solution.
DeakinCo. delivered a holistic training and change approach that started with a needs analysis across divisions, followed by a unifying vision statement, comprehensive induction programs, systematic transition training, and a robust evaluation process to measure competency and manager satisfaction. The result was a successful transition: TAC trained 197 new staff in the final six months of the project, all staff were safely in the new headquarters by the January 2009 deadline, and the organization reported much higher confidence in its Capability & Development Team and a more strategic, systematic learning framework.
